Performance of Titanium Dioxide Fiber Grade
Titanium dioxide is an excellent matting agent for chemical fiber. Adding a small amount of titanium dioxide in the process of chemical fiber production not only achieving good matting effect but also improving the strength and toughness of chemical fiber. With the rapid increase of the production capacity of chemical fibers, especially polyester fibers (Dacron), the demand of titanium dioxide for chemical fiber glazing is also increasing rapidly. Because of the characteristics of production and application of chemical fiber such as polyester fiber, the properties and technical characteristics of titanium dioxide for chemical fiber are determined. The titanium dioxide applied to chemical fiber must be anatase type, with excellent whiteness, water dispersing ability, extinction ability, very few coarse particles, moderate particle size and relatively narrow particle size distribution, but also must be in the polyester production process, especially in the polycondensation process does not occur or rarely secondary condensation phenomenon.
